This is my first post and first official weigh in. I’m excited and ready to start this thing. My goal is to lose 100 lbs over the next year. The exact end date is December 31st 2010.

A little about me: I am a 27 year old interior design student. I have always had a weight problem. I was small as a young child but after the age of about 8 I started gaining weight fast.  There were many problems in my life around that time and things were changing a lot.  I figure that led to some, but not all of my weight gain.

The Plan: I will be finding fun new ways to exercise and eat right all year. To start I am going to be doing light workouts, walking and some exercise dvd’s. Things like yoga and belly dance and weight lifting. I have chosen not to go into this head strong in exercise as I have found the more I cardio exercise the hungrier I get.

My weight and stats:

Each week I will weigh in. Once a month, the first Monday of the month. I will provide other stats that will help track my weight loss.

My Goal Weight: 170

My Current Weight: 271

I know there is actual 101 pounds there, but I do have this extra week so I’m adding that extra pound in.
