I have been trying to walk at least three times a week, I have been doing okay and I have gotten one in this week but took the last two days off to try to clean and pack some things. I have found that walking wears me out and I can’t do much after.
I do walk in the morning around 7:30am. It’s cool out and I found if I don’t do it then I just don’t do it. As I said the problem is that I’m tired after. I think it’s just I need a couple more weeks to get use to it, but I do notice that I in general have more energy when I wake up. The last two days I have had energy, but my blog Savey Spender decided to crash on me and I’ve spent the last two days fixing it. So cleaning and packing did not get done. I thought about skipping my walk tomorrow, but I don’t want to so I will be walking tomorrow and I’ll see how my energy level is.

I am not happy. I have gained weight. I went back onto insulin and it’s showing. I’m bloated and yuck all around. The good news is I did get three walks in this week so that’s helpful. I’m hoping to get five in next week but we will see how the weather and my feet are!

I hate summer, but I love summer all at the same time. This time of year is great for getting outside and taking walks out in the country. Unfortunately it’s also a time for swollen ankles and feet, at least for me it is. Over the last three days I have gained 15 pounds, lost 10 pounds and gained 15 again. Yes in a day! I know there should be something wrong wit that, but if you saw the size of my feet and legs you would understand.
I’m trying now to take walks in the morning when my feet are not so swollen, then in the late afternoon/evening I am putting my feet up. the last two days it’s worked better, I get up in the morning and am okay, but it’s later in the day that I have problems. I finally found a huge pillow thing to use for my feet and I’ll try that out today. I’m hoping that will work better as it will get my feet above my heart helping to get rid of the excess. I may also pick up some water pills to help too.
I hate dealing with this when trying to lose weight because you just don’t know what is really going on. At least this year I have my new body fat/water monitor scale so I can see it’s water and not fat.
I ended up sick this week and am still recovering. The good news is I got insulin so my sugar is a lot better now and I should be able to start walking and using my Step360 again next week. The good news is I did manage to lose weight this week too!

It’s only a pound, but insulin makes me hungry so I’m trying to work around that. I was down 2 pounds Monday, but oh well. The other problem is that our power is out and has been since early Thursday morning. I am writing this post thanks to a generator. Thinking I may just take a walk when I’m done with what has to be done online today since I don’t want to use all of our power supply on the computer!
This weeek did not go so well. My sugar jumped into the 400′s for a day and a half and I’m still recovering. I’m hoping I have got it under control as next week I have promised (to the dog) to start taking walks in the morning. I just need to get out for a while I think instead of exercising inside all summer.
So I did gain a pound this week, but I also see that my muscle is up just by a bit so maybe that is some of it as my body fat is down. I do feel different and my clothing fits different again too. So I’m going with I gained muscle and therefor gained a pound.

I know I haven’t posted much this week, but it’s been a crazy one as my brother graduated from high school yesterday and today is his open house.
I am happy to say that I have found a great thing this week. My lack of hunger. I have cut my eating back a lot and I’m hoping that when the weather gets warmer again it will help me cut back more! (currently it’s 50 degrees here with a high today of 59.)

Yes I lost another 2 lbs. I’m really very happy and I hope this continues. I didn’t get a chance to work out this week so I’m kinda sad about that, but I did do a lot of shopping and a lot of cleaning so I think that helped in my weight loss.

This week has been fun. I have not really had a good chance to exercise and I’m not happy about it, but I have been doing housework and other extras that I think have made up for it. I also have been trying to cut back what I eat so it’s not too bad. I still want to start getting out more, but hey cleaning a whole house is a lot of work so I guess I’m okay with it.

Yes I lost the 2 lbs I was hoping too and I’m actually pretty happy about it. I already feel better so really I think I lost more fat or something (one can hope) because I do feel pretty good, now if I can just motivate myself to get housework and exercise done!

I have decided my brother is spoiled. He has taken over our TV to use as a monitor for our computer so that he can play video games. That means I have been having some fun trying to remember the workouts on my Step360, let me tell you it’s been interesting!
I’ve decided to, for the time being use the Step360 for straight training and some cardio and then supplement using my treadmill and taking the dog for a walk to make up for the cardio, no it’s not the same, but since I can’t use the TV as all the computer stuff is in the way I have to make do where I can. I’m working on setting up another TV we have, but right now I have no remote so I can’t switch it to video mode at the moment and with my brothers graduation next week I just don’t have the extra to be buying a universal right now. I will get one eventually.
At least there is a bright side to this series of events, my brothers dog get to go for walks now and my brother can continue to be lazy while his dog stays in shape. At least the dog and I will be happy and healthy.
